Our
BOTANICALS

We achieve the unique taste of L'HV through the
Combination of 14 hand-picked botanicals.

With a lot of love and a special eye for sustainability
Grown around Lake Constance and collected wild, each one has it
Each of them has an unmistakable share in a completely new taste experience.

Great vermouth

Artemisia Absinthium, or large wormwood, is the basic component of every absinthe and is responsible for its characteristic taste. Its green-silvery leaves are a feast for the eyes and its intense bitter substances have been known since ancient times for their health-promoting effects. For L'HV we combine different Artemisia plants in a way that harmonizes perfectly with our other botanicals.

Odermenning

Also known as royal herb, this medicinal plant is an absolute exotic in the world of spirits. It is characterized above all by its high concentration of essential oils and tannins and, in conjunction with various wormwood plants, ensures the round, complex body of our absinthe.

Pine and spruce tips

By adding particularly young, wild-collected spruce and fir tips, we capture the clarity, power and purity of our local forests. The light green shoots, which are also said to have a healing effect, create the perfect bridge between classic and modern absinthe with their combination of natural freshness and ethereal intensity.

Lemon balm

The plant, which has been known for its calming effects for centuries, is characterized by its particularly beautiful flowers and the intoxicating scent of lemons. It gives L'HV a refreshing lightness that fits perfectly into the powerful base of absinthe and at the same time acts as a harmonious link to the more delicate, fruity aromas of wildly collected wild berries.

Wild blueberry

The highly aromatic fruits, hand-picked with great effort in the forest, give our absinthe a particularly unique note. Often rightly referred to as a superfood, wild blueberries with their intensely fruity taste are perfect for setting unusual accents and discreetly opening up new worlds of Absinthe taste.

Real woodruff

Just like the wild blueberry, this special botanical can also be found in the shade of local forests. Today, unfortunately often only known as an artificial flavor, “real” woodruff has a particularly distinctive, intense taste. Skilfully integrated into our absinthe, it provides a slightly spicy sweetness that complements the remaining flavors in an astonishingly harmonious way.
